Cooking a high-quality steak will amaze guests at a dinner party or at home. One of the most expensive meats has returned to Costco, depending on your budget.
On Nov. 27, Instagram user @costcohotfinds found A5 Japanese Wagyu New York Strip Steaks for $99 per pound at the members-only warehouse club.
Another person said, "I'm so purchasing it if I see it!" The beef's price deterred Instagrammers.
"I will regrettably NEVER attempt something that costs me a week's worth of food," one said. "Never. I'll order a fillet in a restaurant if I'm spending $100 on a steak "another wrote.
Japanese cows are nourished to have more intramuscular fat cells, which gives Wagyu meat its marbling and softness.
High-grade wagyu may retail for much to $30,000 per cow and $200 per pound.
"If it's this costly, no ways it's real," one Instagram user said of the wagyu beef.
