Cooking a high-quality steak will amaze guests at a dinner party or at home. One of the most expensive meats has returned to Costco, depending on your budget.

On Nov. 27, Instagram user @costcohotfinds found A5 Japanese Wagyu New York Strip Steaks for $99 per pound at the members-only warehouse club.

Another person said, "I'm so purchasing it if I see it!" The beef's price deterred Instagrammers.

"I will regrettably NEVER attempt something that costs me a week's worth of food," one said. "Never. I'll order a fillet in a restaurant if I'm spending $100 on a steak "another wrote.

Japanese cows are nourished to have more intramuscular fat cells, which gives Wagyu meat its marbling and softness.

High-grade wagyu may retail for much to $30,000 per cow and $200 per pound.

"If it's this costly, no ways it's real," one Instagram user said of the wagyu beef.

Costco sells more than their A5 Japanese Wagyu New York Strip Steak.

Costco sells a 24-pack of Wagyu Beef Craft Burgers for $109.99 and a 12-pound A5 Japanese Wagyu Boneless Ribeye Roast for $899.99.
